@darkfnord No having looked into it deeper, my understanding was that the assets of the Foundation's films were all open source. I didn't know that Sintel's were closed and require a subscription to access.

Excellent short, but the runtime is nowhere near 12 hours & 14 minutes. would love to see a much longer version.

To be clear, this is NOT an "open source film", as GeoffreyA says. It's a 14 minute short created using an open source tool. The film is free, but not open source. We don't have access to the source, the models, or anything used to create this demo. People are stupid, and don't understand what "open source" means.
