I worked as a musician for over 50years. Was offered a recording contract in 1977. I have followed Zappa's work since 1970 when a friend introduced me to his music. There is no serious publication of how he wrote his music(that I know of). What a loss. His impact on music cannot be ignored. Emotionally difficult to watch. Those who worked with Frank saw past his faults and loved him.

A brilliant musician..

Great musician. Fair documentary. Probably had to bury any association with Dweezil (the only living musician in the Zappa family) in order to get the footage from the estate. As a result, way too much rockumentary talk about groupies and Valley Girl while neglecting the music. Lots of great moments but hopefully just the first shot at a more lengthy exploration of Frank's music.

Zappa rocks!

I am a backer of the vault-rescue that resulted in this documentary. I am terribly proud!
