I worked as a musician for over 50years. Was offered a recording contract in 1977. I have followed Zappa's work since 1970 when a friend introduced me to his music. There is no serious publication of how he wrote his music(that I know of). What a loss. His impact on music cannot be ignored. Emotionally difficult to watch. Those who worked with Frank saw past his faults and loved him.
i watch this every few years since it was released.The film is as perfect a film as I have evr seen for this genre or practically any film made. I have worked with actors helping them work on their scripts. I have recommended this film as mandatory viewing. Simply stunning.

This film has a genius quality to it, because it attempts to protray how a character could process into justifying this life-style as reality or acceptable. This film hit a nerve with me. When I was younger I had a close friend who was murdered and carved into pieces. This film actually halped me to understand the life process of a person that could do such a thing.

Morgan Freeman is mis-casted in this film. The worst production of a re-make of Ben-Hur I will probably ever see. Shows a complete lack of developed plot and reverence for the story. Absolutely awful. nard to believe that Morgan Freeman took part in this project. Watch the 1959 version, even though dramatized it a much better film.
