Looks Like Doctor Who from Movies.

This movie is quite... unhinged! * badum tss *

I liked that! I don't care if it's not true to the book. The story is original, interesting and the acting is good. Thank you YTS!

It's ok... I hope the sequel gets a new director and maybe a bit more adult oriented?

I'm retired and watch a lot of movies. This one is without a doubt one of the WORST I have seen in a very long time. Couldn't even finish it. Half way through this brutal adaptation I gave up any chance that there would be any redemption for this epic of disaster.

This movie is actually not bad. I really enjoyed this movie.

This movie is made by the Jim Henson Company, which brought us the Muppets, Kermit the Frog and is headquartered at the Jim Henson Company Lot, the historic former Charlie Chaplin Studios. And indeed, if you expect an thrilling movie with lots of heavy battels and corpses and terrible evil, you might be dissapointed. But this way there are movies for more sensible souls like me. I had problems with the late Harry Potter movies, but here I am actually enjoying myself comfortable in a stylish english way. Some reviewers who read the books are missing something - I know the feeling, missing Tom Bombadil in the Tolkien-movie, but others find the movie quite according to the "holy" book. I do not think it is fair to give a great movie one or two stars because you have read the book, it gives the movie an unrealistic bad rating. Usally I would only give 10 stars if the movie had some relationship to the real world and could motivate us to make the Earth a better place. But maybe we should all be like small goblins making the world better in small steps, that sounds very reasonable, hence I gave this movie ten nice stars.

thanks!!!
