Plot summary

Left behind by her friends on a boat trip, contemporary teen Mabel takes pursuit but is knocked unconscious on an island, where she has a dream involving pirates, sisters, a modern major-general, romance, and adventure.

5 Stars…. For 80s nostalgia, a killer cast

5 Stars…. For 80s nostalgia, a killer cast, and music that will never leave your soul?. I was a pre-teen when I first saw this. I held my tape recorder up to the speaker of my big wood box TV to record my own "album" of all the songs ? But seriously…. Slap stick funny, an incredible cast, to die for costumes and scenery. This film had a $5 million budget in the 80s!!! So- have some heart. Give it an honest watch. And make sure you have your most loyal 80s loving crew with you.

Such a fun, lighthearted, nostalgic movie! Full of

Such a fun, lighthearted, nostalgic movie! Full of wit, real issues, feminism, and makes it an incredible movie. I havent even mentioned the great music! The soundtrack is definitely full of bangers i still listen to 40 odd years later! Definitely a treasure of a movie and worth watching!!
