Plot summary

The Page family lives without electricity or running water deep in the Sussex woods. Amidst ever-growing modernity and industrialization, the family carries out chores, hunts pheasants, builds steam engines, and postulates on man's trip to the moon. They demonstrate fine lateral thinking and, through their particular delivery, display fears and concerns about pollution, intensive farming, mechanization, and self-fulfillment during a time of technological advancement.

amazing. this is not acting, this is legit. good ol fashioned humans. good cinematography, amateur music. the people portrayed are opposite bourgeoisie; creative, down to earth, preditive and wholesome. good movie, 4 stars.

What a gem! This film is a truly

What a gem! This film is a truly unique experience. Eccentricity doesn't get any better than this. Easily one of the most fascinating films i've ever seen. Can't recommend it highly enough. Crazy, beautiful visual poetry. Better than a full body massage. It left me with a mental glow.
