Plot summary

In 1978 Oregon, Ben and Jules inherit an abandoned coastal property from Ben's late mother, who's never mentioned it. The untouched house has been kept a secret for 40 years and comes with a beautiful private cove and beach. Jules searches for answers while Ben unwittingly awakens a fiercely protective creature.

Terrible.. zero stars.. written by someone with a

Terrible.. zero stars.. written by someone with a low IQ and/or made for children because there's no way. I have so many questions... Why was the dad a complete ussy and nonchalant? Why was there only 1 officer arriving to a brutal murder scene? Of course it had to be the one black actor that you decide to kill immediately. You didn't even give him one word to say! Why was Dad so stupid? The script and plot insulted my intelligence that I ended up on the monsters side cheering him on to get them. Including the author writer producer and everyone that had a hand in putting this trash together. False advertising and I'm contemplating on filing suit for emotional distress for the amount of stupidity I had to endure. Most importantly where the F did the dog ago at the end and why TF was he left out when they ran and locked themselves in the room. I hated this movie and the people that wrote and produced it.

It would have easily been a 4 or

It would have easily been a 4 or even a 4.5 had the monster not been shown in its entirety. I was unsettled by it until I saw the full prop ambling around on the ground and then it became almost comedic to watch it move. When you're working with a monster that hides and picks off its victims, keep it hidden.
