APROPOS TONY JAAS ZWIEBEL Ein Mann sinnt auf Rache, denn seine Frau und Kind sind kaltblütig ermordet wurden. Doch muss er diese Gelüste zunächst hinten anstellen, denn die Tochter des Mannes den er umbringen will, soll vor seinen Augen entführt werden. Eine neue Sichtweise eröffnet sich ihm, denn steckt hinter dem Tod seiner Familie mehr als er ahnt? Fist of the Warrior geht ca. 110 Minuten und ist ab 18 Jahren freigegeben. Wir haben hier einen Action-Thriller mit Tony Jaa in der Hauptrolle, der das macht was man in einem Tony Jaa Film erwarten würde. Leuten mit dem Ellenbogen den Schädel spalten und dabei mehr herum kreischen als ne Karen der Unrecht getan wurde. Die Action ist das worauf es ankommt und die ist, wie bei Tona Jaa üblich, nicht nur äußerst brutal, sondern sieht zu dem gut aus. Sogar die Jungdarstellerin überzeugte mich mit klugen Dialogen und Entscheidungen. Das große aber sind neben der absolut vorhersehbaren Story, die vielen Unlogischkeiten. Eine Horde von Rüpeln mit Macheten und Schlägern weichen lieber zurück, statt mal auf die Zwiebel von Jaa zu drechen. Apropos Jaas Zwiebel, ich glaub ja gern das der nen harten Schädel hat, aber nen Metall Baseballschläger mitten auf die Omme ohne Konsequenzen wegzustecken, ist mir zuviel Fantasy. Die Bösis sind, bis auf eine crazy Braut, ebenfalls kaum erwähnenswert, die können zwar alle kämpfen aber das erwarte ich auch in so einem Werk. Am Ende bleibt ein Streifen der zwar coole Action hat, aber im großen einfach nur dahin plätschert. Story kennt man, Charaktere sind kaum der Rede wert und die Logiklöcher naja reden wir nicht drüber. Von mir bekommt der Film 5,5/10 Punkten. Der Grund wieso Gangster Kinder haben? Damit man sie entführen kann.

This film makes me wish I was a young adult discovering Ong Bak for the first time again. Tony is kicking butt with his upgraded power style of Muay Thai as usual, the plot is pretty cool but the action is the focus... and there's a lot of it! The English is hilarious, I honestly don't know why they keep speaking it randomly throughout the film, most actors were definitely sounding the words out phonetically. Maybe it's missing Humlae from Ong Bak for a bit of comic relief... But what more can you ask from an action film.

Solid action flick, exactly what you expected.

This one is one where you can see the end from its opening, but it's well worth your time if you enjoy other action movies.Feels very much like old school Hollywood action film that rarely got made nowadays. Some of the special effects is a bit weak but doesn't take you out of the film.Fighting choreography is excellent, each hit feels connected. And most importantly, no crazy jump cuts on every moves, it does have a bit too much slow motion shots in my opinion, since it mostly a repeat of a previous move that's played in normal speed.Story is fine, as it serves the action, what more do we need really?
