A British horror about witchcraft & occultism that combines gratuitous nudity and horrific violence in a censor-baiting concoction designed to compete with the gore and cynicism of its contemporary American & European counterparts. Although nowhere near the quality of its counterparts, Satan's Slave is a stunning piece of work, melding some erratic styles perfectly and creating a genuine atmosphere of dread while containing that unique, and priceless, 70's sleazy, grimy feel throughout. A good soundtrack composed by John Scott, offers a veritable smorgasbord of dark progressive samples, melding erratic styles and sounding as edgy, fresh and relevant as it did back in the swinging seventies.
