Plot summary

Lazy preppie Palmer Woodrow hires street-smart Eddie Keaton to go to school for him while he lives it up in Europe. Eddie falls in love with preppie gal Tracey, upsetting Biff, the Hoover Academy bully. When his bookie from the old neighborhood, Dice, comes to collect on Eddie's gambling debts and Palmer returns early from Europe, the scheme slowly starts to unravel. Soon, Eddie can't even tell whose side he's really on.

The '80s not only had some of the

The '80s not only had some of the best movies the films also had some of the best soundtracks. This film is underrated. It doesn't get the credit it deserve. The concept of a poor person trading places with Richie is not new. Or a storyline of a street kid getting in trouble with a bunch of thugs. However the movie is worth watching. Seeing John Nelson playing Eddie Keaton a StreetWise kid who pretends to be a preppy just to get enough money to save his ass. By the end of the movie Eddie pulls off the scam. But decides to be true to himself by revealing who he really is. He even wins the heart of the ultimate preppy girl. It's a fun movie to watch.

Come on to many people are to critical

Come on to many people are to critical of movies old and new, it’s a good watch, I’m an exchange student from slobbobia! Judd Nelson, Tim Robbin’s Andrew dice clay, the guy from wkrp in Cincinnati! Just a great dumb 80s movie!
