Plot summary

On July 7, 1944, a U.S. Army hospital on the remote island of Saipan is overrun by Japanese forces during a relentless attack. Outgunned and surrounded by the enemy, a lone medic puts it all on the line to lead a band of wounded soldiers to safety.

Not even a bad movie, absolutely dreadful. Whatever

Not even a bad movie, absolutely dreadful. Whatever the Japanese were in the war, bad soldiers they certainly were not. Here, they can't shoot straight, have a Russian tank that they only fire once, and fail to overcome a handful of wounded US troops and nurses, despite a huge numerical advantage. For some reason every time our heroes ran out of bullets and resorted to fists, knives and baseball bats, the Japanese seemed to have equally run out of ammo. This gave them no chance even though seriously outnumbering the troops. The final battle has all the Japanese running through a double door and being mown down like corn. Not one of the Japanese thought to lob in a grenade which would have taken out the entire crew of soldiers, surgeons, cripples and nurses, bunched together right in front of the door as they were. Absolutely ridiculous film.

Too many cliches (the alcoholic commander who used

Too many cliches (the alcoholic commander who used to be a hotshot), too many inaccuracies (the US military was strictly segregated at the time), too many dumb moves (the sniper leaves the door to the room wide open, making it absurdly easy to walk in undetected and shoot him). The pace was dumb. The dialog was silly much of the time. Couldn't take more than a few minutes at a time.

I HAVE NEVER WRITTEN A MOVIE REVIEW, AND THIS WAS THE WORST MOVIE IVE EVER SEEN. A 3rd grade videography class couldn't come up with something as God awful as this. This would be a cool war movie to someone made out of snowflakes who the most gory thing they've ever seen was a second of happy tree friends before they got sick to their stomach and had to hug their teddy bear. The director and writer should be sent to Jeffrey E's Island because they deserve a lifetime of punishment for what I had to sit through. It was devised by the brain of someone who advocated for water pistols instead of real pistols as imojis. I've seen better foreign films. Shame shame shame
