I do absolutely agree with MerlinTullamore about the social complexities of that era. and sure, they did nail that. Looked forward to it, but found I couldn't watch it much after 20 to 30 mins. The Macbeth dude just seemed too much like Lemmy from Moterhead to make his dull acting worth watching (Maybe he picked up? Or developed somewhat after i got bored?). Pugh was a babe, But it was like watching an old had-his-time rock dude after a young bit. Which, fair point, was the way of the rich then, passing on their ''noble'' bollocks, but, Why didn't she split his head with an axe after the first few nights? Nehhh. totally didn't work for me

If you're going to make that kind of comment, you better go see the avengers. Lady Macbeth, The story manages with good performances to understand the complexity of the social relations of the time.

Seriously....?? This 'moovee', is NOTHING more than an: inter-racial 'F-fest', about a sleazy white-tramp, which is glorified by this film!! Kind of like, the 'Bridges of Madison County'; IF this was a movie about a man cheating, we'd never hear the end of it. Eff'n double-standards!!! She should have left her husband.
