@bbeau I'm a boomer d'head, and I've seen far more movies in my life than you ever will. Yes, I know the difference, that's why I'd never even watch this.
Blu-ray is out of sync…badly so.
Hollywood has a bad habit of forcing some actor they have chosen as the next hot ticket into everything they can safely put him in. Ultimately, audiences reject this, and the actor, M or F, slides into obscurity. Bye Glen, nice knowin' ya. The Movie? Safe and harmless, but instantly forgettable.
The most spammed comments section I've yet seen, along with the most fake reviews on IMDB and RT. These, combined with the dreadful Trailer, which looks awful, means I'll give this a wide berth. Stop with the fake reviews and Likes.
Theo James and Sam Worthington? Run away, run away….
It's not a “Mummy” movie, as you'd see with Universal or Hammer Horror, but a rather jumbled mess, with no clear identity of its own. Heavily influenced by other stand-outs from the '70''s (“Carrie”, “Evil Dead”, “The Exorcist”, to name but three), Cronin doesn't seem to grasp the concept of what a Mummy movie should be. Worth a watch, though. 5/10
