Plot summary

A forgettable movie. Melanie Griffith was weakly cast as a tough cop. I didn't stop watching until the end, hoping for a gratuitous sex scene, but like a satisflying ending to the moive, sex.was not forthcoming.

The reviews of this movie go to show You just how, like beauty, opinions are in the eye of the beholder. This has been and always will be ONE OF MY FAVORITE MOVIES...I always come back to it and watch with renewed fascination. The characters can make a comment about what one says, in a way we all do, that says a lot; "Okie dokie?" These nuances are like gold. But then, Emily's words to Lavine come out of Ariel's own mouth. That's thoughtful writing of circumstance. I always ask myself why Emily doesn't do what we all should do if our fate wasn't written for us... ...would we choose to change? I love Stranger Among Us bc it takes us to a world few travel, unlike Dances With Wolves & Avatar, bc these movies change us on the outside more than inside.
