Plot summary

Just before stubborn millionaire Edwina Cutwater dies, she asks her uptight lawyer, Roger Cobb, to amend her will so that her soul will pass to the young, vibrant Terry Hoskins – but the spiritual transference goes awry. Edwina enters Roger's body instead, forcing him to battle Edwina for control of his own being.

The premise was pretty ridiculous and the jokes

The premise was pretty ridiculous and the jokes just got old and completely stalled altogether. Nice try Steve Martin but it was pretty bad. I couldn't get past 40 minutes before I put it out of its misery. Don't bother with this one.

This is one of Steve Martin’s best! Maybe

This is one of Steve Martin’s best! Maybe the best, as the hapless attorney with the spirit of a lonely rich woman trapped in his body. Lily Thomlin is perfect and the premise of the whole thing is inventive and clever. Am watching it for probably the fourth time.
