LeBouf does it again. One of those where i forget I am watching a movie. Definitely watch it Good for heart and soul, added bonus it's entertaining as well.

This is a masterpiece of non-romanticised low income white areas. Beautifully painful and spectacularly shot, directed and executed, beautiful acting, One of the films I always come back to.

If you can look past the overwhelming mediocrity of cinematography, acting and directing, there's an surprizing and fresh take on the whole "I will have my vengeance" genre that I really liked, although subtext is non existent, as if supporting the story was done rather in-shot with the main story just by the actors being extra instead of actually shooting scenes to support the character and story development. Besides that it's shockingly mediocre, like wow. I'm a fan of any of the Skarsgard actors but this was really unconvincing, and a bit extra, almost like the Fast & Furious people made a Viking Age movie. Meh.
