Jeanine Pirro is in this. Nothing else needs to be said.

The actors are at least lipping actual English, which was unexpected. The "telenovela" English-dub voice actors, though, are hilariously stereotyped.

Knowing I'm gonna sound like every fake review out there - I did not hate this. Josh Peck was the only actor I recognized, so I held out little hope, but this is a lot more well-stitched than many films I've suffered through. And as stated by many already, it's four separate stories.

Great vintage film. The trailer is a great example of how trailers have changed over the years.

To me it feels like the opposite of anti-Catholic propaganda. It feels like a movie made specifically for a religious audience. It has all the dreary pace, highly staged visuals, and utter lack of concern for basic movie-making principles characteristic of a film made to proselytize. All that was missing was a cameo from Kirk Cameron and his smug mug.

If you're a secular person, the beginning leans into some hard-core hokeyness that is clearly pandering to religious types would find all the staged performance to be compelling, but when you don't believe in any of that, jinkies it is cringe-worthy.
