How thr F does that movie have such a high raiting? The idea of it is cheap. You don;t get to know what the entity really is - it's just people walking towards you. You don't write a scene with smoking a cigarette for an actress who doesn't smoke - looks fake and forced. They really couldn't afford a real gun and make her shoot it? You have to have a plastic gun with a cheap animation? That's an amateur movie. Waste of time, I turned it off in the middle - unwatchable.

How does that movie have 6.7 on IMDb? Take a look at the shooting scene in the store - nobody holds a snubnosed revolver like that. Jesus.

I had a hard time connecting with the main characters.

One of the worst-made movies I’ve ever seen. Those who say this is the better of the two versions are either blind, don’t pay attention to details, or are biased by nostalgia. The camerawork in this movie is dizzying. In the scene where the little girl in front of the gate screams, “Help! He is dying!” her voice is so terribly dubbed that the girl’s lips don’t move at all. How could such glaring mistakes have been overlooked?

It's a niche film, but good. No wokeness in it.

Like all the Conjuring movies it's a good movie. Don't listen to complainers.
