A36 steel can withstand 100k psi. Hundreds of columns holding the building together. In order to weaken steel like A36 and get it to bend youd need to have it at least 1800 degrees per hour for every inch of steel those columns measure too. So a 15 inch thick column would need at least 7 1/2 hours to weaken that core. And mind you thats onlu one column. This would need to be done to the entire building because of the A36 capabilities to withstand huge amounts of force. If you didnt study metallurgy and do heat treating working with steel you wouldnt know this.
