The younger people this documentary is trying to make aware of the dangers of Social Networking are too far gone and have become complete zombie slaves. They believe anything and everything dished up to them and are too foolish to realize how stupid they are acting! I am nearly 70 but (back in the early 1980's when I began my life as a Tech Geek) I was warning anyone who would listen about this problem 10 years ago. As a digital artist also, I designed -not to long ago- a visual piece with the strap line, "Social Networking is the modern day form of illegal surveillance and data gathering by government spying/security agencies provided to them by greedy corporations ruled by the 1% super wealthy egotistical lowlifes"! But this documentary pales into nothing when compared to documentary, 'David Attenborough 'A Life On Our Planet' (2020); quite possibly the most important piece of viewing that anyone will ever see.
“The technotronic era involves the gradual appearance of a more controlled society. Such a society would be dominated by an elite, unrestrained by traditional values. Soon it will be possible to assert almost continuous surveillance over every citizen and maintain up-to-date complete files containing even the most personal information about the citizen. These files will be subject to instantaneous retrieval by the authorities. ” “In the technotronic society the trend would seem to be towards the aggregation of the individual support of millions of uncoordinated citizens, easily within the reach of magnetic and attractive personalities exploiting the latest communications techniques to manipulate emotions and control reason.” ? Zbigniew Brzezinski, Between Two Ages: America's Role in the Technetronic Era
This movie is so stimulating and eye opening , not many movies like this have been released this year . It deserves at least an 8.5/10 rating
This 100% i dont know why people give low scores,,, if you have kids you'll realize the major impact and damage it does on our children...
So many incels in the comment section. In between typing out their conspiracy theories and Q non-sense they watch docs about SOCIAL MEDIA BEING EVIL without realizing the true irony that they themselves are the problem. Idiocracy is the REAL documentary based on America these days.
Guy saying communism is a Jewish invention, go and study history. Communist societies are as old as human kind and true communism is sought for as far as our history knowledge goes. Modern socialist attempts, set as a route to true communism, have succeeded in many aspects and failed in others. Contrarily to the western propaganda, real democracy is simply impossible under capitalism. US, EU, UK are not democracies, they are capitalist regimens. Capitalism in its own essence is a regimen of privileges and inequalities. The idea of communism is exactly to abolish this.
Any conservative that ignores or hides from this film is an IDIOT!!! This addresses precisely the types of issues we're are fighting and that the Left (Silicon Valley & Technocrats) is pushing. The Racist cunts can go F themselves in a gas chamber regardless of their Stripe. Any Liberal who ignores this does so at their own risk because true Liberalism and Liberty is exactly what is as stake.
How did I not figure out that that's what the tech's being used for? I really thought all those spam messages were being sent to improve my life!

A must watch and a good time to force our children to put the smartphone away and disconnect from whatever they are watching and obliged to spend 94 minutes or so with daddy and mommy watching this together. Then another 90 minutes or so to discuss the documentary. Without phone or tablet or laptop or...
