This quirky Japanese film was surprisingly funnier than

This quirky Japanese film was surprisingly funnier than was expected. And this was after I had already started watching the film. Knowing Japanese films are often a bit odd to North American audiences, I was expecting moments that would make me smile, but Fine, Totally Fine had moments that went that extra mile and had me laughing out loud. A beautiful colour pallette brings about an almost comic book esthetic to the visuals which helps ground the moments of absurdity into a coeherent and wonderful story.
