Plot summary

American novelist David Raybourne accidentally becomes entangled in the Red Brigade's terrorist plan to kidnap Italian Premier Aldo Moro during a research trip to Rome. As the terrorists attempt to kill David, he and his photojournalist friend must struggle to stay alive.

Not bad Thriller from Director John Frankenheimer ,the

Not bad Thriller from Director John Frankenheimer ,the biggest problem being continuity and a story which turns a vital subject just a little bit stale. The film is meant to be set in 1978 around the time when the Red Brigades kidnapped Aldo Moro and waged war against the state ,the problem is the film is packed full of cars from the late 80s and early 90s so you easily forget the period its meant to be set in. The three lead actors all come off a touch bland and only John Pankow gives a powerful performance as a friend with dubious connections. Frankenhiemer does manage some good touches but by the time the action gathers pace you dont really care whats going on. I tried to enjoy it but when a political thriller lacks thrills and mudlles its politics you come away feeling more confused than when you started.

A few people die due to a supposedly

A few people die due to a supposedly fictional book draft an American journalist writes at the height of the Red Brigade in Italy where Aldo Moro was kidnapped and killed in 1978. I could have used subtitles for the Italian speaking scenes.

It totally sucked, the only good thing about it was looking at Sharon Stone or Valeria Golino!
