From ruthless to humane

The film centers on a ruthless TV host battling bone cancer while trying to maintain her career and privileged lifestyle. Throughout the movie, we see her loosing her fearless and confident identity when faced with the possibility of loosing everything she worked for: her fame, her talk-show, her well crafted and always perfect appearance, her power and relevance in showbiz, her confidence and everything else that was strictly connected to her public persona.Once she gets the diagnosis, not only she sees herself forced to get out of her bubble and face everything already mentioned, but also comes to realize that it's essential for her own survival to be amongst other cancer patients that otherwise she would never meet nor even allow them to enter her personal safe space.I personally think that somewhere in the middle of the movie, the plot lost a bit of focus, and the ending was a bit cheesy. But it was still a deeply personal exploration of illness, identity, and human connection and transformation.
