Plot summary

A polar station on a desolate island in the Arctic Ocean. Sergei, a seasoned meteorologist, and Pavel, a recent college graduate, are spending months in complete isolation on the once strategic research base. Pavel receives an important radio message and is still trying to find the right moment to tell Sergei, when fear, lies and suspicions start poisoning the atmosphere...

How I Ended This Summer is a 2010

How I Ended This Summer is a 2010 Russian drama film directed by Alexei Popogrebski. It was in the competition for the Golden Bear at the 60th Berlin International Film Festival. Tim Robey of The Daily Telegraph gave it four stars, writing, that the director Popogrebsky "delivers a Tarkovskian parable about nuclear horror which also functions as a sustained and nail-biting psychological thriller." Vision said "How I Ended This Summer is intense, gripping and well acted by its two-man cast in a desolate Arctic setting.
