Plot summary

THE best film of 2025

2025's best film did not come out of Hollywood or any European or Asian film studio. No, instead it's this Kickstarted documentary project.It's about three people crossing the North Atlantic on a refurbished Polynesian double-canoe styled catamaran replica.More than that, it's a film about personal physical, psychological and emotional strength carrying these three women through the humbling forces of Mother Nature. A humbling experience, even for this particular viewer.

Too much TnA not enough Lieutenant Danielle

So I need to preface that what these women did was courageous, emotional and downright amazing so bravo!!I also want to say that a) i love the sea and b) I love women....especially half naked obviously.And therein lies the problem with this film. I don't want to see girls gone wild on a catamaran. I want to see strong women facing the elements and explaining how they did it.What I got was a video of the sea; then a half naked women, then a half assed explanation of what they're going through.What I wanted was to know a) who they were and why they wanted to sail (so you'd know if anyone was seasick) b) a rundown of the living quarters, cooking ideas and how they were going to get by C) problems and solutions that occurred enroute D) plans if they run out of food. Water. Anything E) emotions between them.Basically I wanted 3 women to show me how to traverse the 2nd biggest ocean in the world and the troubles and strife I'd find on the way.I got sea, T n A.Still, enjoyed it nevertheless.
