Contemporary fascism has gone beyond the Third Reich cosplay contest of the past, and the ongoing coup has adapted to the structural realities of an infrastructural, digitized, interfaced, and algorithmic governance. Elon Musk has understood that yesterday’s legislative palaces are now museums, shiny, empty shells where only a simulacrum of representative democracy is maintained—including the United States Congress, where the QAnonized hordes of January 6, 2021 had nothing else to do but take selfies inside the building once it had been desecrated. Musk knows that power can now be seized without weapons (yet with just as much hatred and violence), with only six Zoomers on Ritalin as Red Guards, and some administrator passwords as sole weaponry. Or, in the fascistic lexicon of Elon Musk himself: “it only takes a few Spartans to win battles.” Thibault Prévost

@Balerophon. FB trolls are posting "I Stand with russia" memes. Red Dawn happened without a shot fired.

It's interesting, in that it's a snarky progressive project to strawman its opponent. The funny thing is, neo-liberals are suddenly afraid of a coup, something they have perpetrated in other nations for decades now? LOL

don't democrats worship treason? I mean, Obama lied about getting us out of the "war on error" back in 2008 and 2012, and kept us in for 8 more years after Bush's 6. He also gave a drone strike order that nuked 2 islamic family generations trying to have a wedding, as well as gave $1.6 BILLION to Iran, despite them counterfeiting our money since the early 1980's. Would mass murdering people and aiding and abetting the nuking of the one dollar bill count as treason?

Funny how the insurrectionists are expected to succeed without bringing any firearms to overthrow the government on J6. Quite the faux pas.

We used to hang traitors. Now, republicans nominate them for public office.

Oh look, you have traitors in the comments— bragging about how much they loathe the USA and how they are willfully obtuse about the coup attempt that happened on January 6th. Disgraceful.

They couldn't think of a name that wasn't stolen from an excellent 80s film?
