Plot summary

A woman with a metal plate in her head from a childhood car accident embarks on a bizarre journey, bringing her into contact with a firefighter who's reunited with his missing son after 10 years.

French horror, and cinema in general, certainly has

French horror, and cinema in general, certainly has its own taste and ideals, but Titane goes well beyond the weird white maintaining deep messaging that relate to many of us. As we navigate life and its many turns, unconditional love and a sense of belonging will always be at the forefront.

A load of perverse nonsense posing as some

A load of perverse nonsense posing as some sort of serial-killer-copulates-with-car-for-shock-value story and really nothing more. It takes one daft turn after another, where the laugh out load moments become the norm and each following scene is more absurd than the last.

I think the biggest flaw of this film

I think the biggest flaw of this film is its unevenness; we start with a creepy, disgusting horror, then we go into psychological drama, then back to horror, and so on. The film isn't as good with its psychological aspect as "Raw" was, but it's even more disgusting and surreal. The plot of the film sounds like a bad porn idea, but somehow it manages to be one of the most disturbing things I have seen in my entire life.
