Plot summary

Just watched OG, and I’m genuinely baffled by the hype. What promised to be a gripping gangster saga turned out to be a one-dimensional action fest with little emotional depth. The storyline felt thin, stitched together mostly to showcase fight sequences and power poses. There’s barely any room for character development or emotional nuance. Pawan Kalyan dominates the screen, but the narrative feels tailored solely to glorify his persona, leaving little space for others to breathe. Emraan Hashmi’s role as the villain was especially disappointing—not because of his performance, but because the script gave him nothing to work with. His presence felt wasted, reduced to a mere prop in a one-sided tale. The film tries to be stylish and intense, but without a strong emotional core or layered storytelling, it ends up feeling hollow. If you’re looking for substance or a balanced ensemble, this isn’t it. My head’s still spinning—not from thrill, but from the sheer overload of stylized violence and underwhelming writing.
