Plot summary

Determined to avoid another night of driving aimlessly around Torrance in the Blue Torpedo, Joe and Hubbs set out on a quest for fine chicks. Their paths soon cross with Tack, from whom they learn about a pair of foreign radical chicks hanging out near the Frankie Avalon place. Over Joe's objections, Hubbs worms Tack out of the deal, and the pair take a slow ride toward their destiny.

One of my favourite movies! To address the Dazed and Confused comparisons, The Stoned Age is like Dazed and Confused, if every character was Matthew McConaughey ? It's a funny satirical movie that doesn't deserve the negative critiques because it is entirely self-aware and poking fun at itself already. And even though it's dumb, it still manages to have a heartfelt 'coming of age' story for Joe. This is about him breaking free of the same stupidity the movie is mocking. Also, Tack is hilarious. A big smile comes on my face every time the movie opens and his character is introduced. Like others have said. You really just need to turn your brain off and go along for the ride! -Just cruisin' you know how it is

I love this movie. It’s unapologetically and purposefully

I love this movie. It’s unapologetically and purposefully stupid in the best way. Leave your brain behind and just get lost in this dude-universe for a while. When I watch it, I’m not thinking of anything but the idiotic ride. This movie pokes fun at itself the entire way, starting with the title itself. There’s even a hidden nod to dazed & Confused where they stomp a cigarette out on the smiley face doormat. It’s an obvious shot fired at Dazed, as if to say "F-you, this is the unhinged version". This movie holds nostalgia for me from the 90’s so I’m bias. But I’m just as stoked to watch it again today and feel the same feeling of being fully immersed and entertained by the raw idiocy that is The Stoned Age. Pop this movie on, metaphorically light one up, grab a tall can (preferably of OX) and don’t take yourself seriously in the slightest. This is the mid weed of movies, fun as hell if you know what you’re smoking.

Geared more toward stoners, but that being said, I found it amusing in parts. I liked the ending the best.
