I had a school friend whose mother was murdered by her son in law. Dude drove 30 minutes by highway to the house killed the mother, attacked the father. 2 kids had to jump out a 2nd storey window to escape. Luckily my friend was away at summer camp. Immediately after the guy went to the police station claiming to not know why he was covered in blood. When it went to court he used sleep walking as a defence and was deemed not criminally responsible for the crime. His name was Ken Parks. Lots of youtube videos about the case.

"Did a remorseful Randy Herman Jr. really commit a brutal murder in his sleep, or was it a convenient cover story? The Sky Original film explores this shocking case"
