As a Friends fan, I simply cannot recommend this. A 2-hour Mashup of missed opportunities and broken dreams. I don't know what the people who rated this 5 stars were watching, but it couldn't have been this. It's nothing but a celebrity worshipping mockery of what made the series great. Poorly cut, random segment switching and unnecessary appearances by celebrities who had nothing to do with the original show. And who thought it would be good to put James Corden as the host? That person should have been fired on the spot. And there was not enough Matthew Perry and what he experienced.

As a big friends fan who watches the show every day, it was so nice to see the gang of friends see each other once again, filled with comedy and heartfelt parts that make you truly realize what binds there can be behind the scenes. The reunion was a well needed great picture!

Friends: The Reunion works mostly because its cast

Friends: The Reunion works mostly because its cast is still genuinely funny and endlessly likable. The special leans hard on nostalgia, sometimes to the point of cheesiness, but that’s kind of the point. It’s fun to see the six of them together again, teasing each other and cracking up over old clips, even if no one seems to remember the episodes quite as well as the audience does. The producers were smart not to attempt a new scripted story; instead, we get a heartfelt look back through table reads, bloopers, and behind-the-scenes stories that show how audience reactions shaped the series. The celebrity cameos and the fashion show segments feel like filler, but the moments that focus on the cast and their chemistry are where it shines. Lisa Kudrow singing with Lady Gaga is unexpectedly charming, and Matthew Perry, though quieter than in his prime, still brings that dry, self-aware humor that made Chandler a fan favorite. The interludes showing how “Friends” affected viewers around the world are surprisingly moving, grounding all the nostalgia in something real. It’s not groundbreaking or particularly insightful, but it doesn’t need to be. Friends: The Reunion is a love letter to a show that defined an era, and it delivers exactly what fans wanted: a warm, funny, slightly clumsy celebration of six people who made TV history.
