They had been used in Soviet Propaganda for ages since the war itself (and btw Pavlichenko was Ukrainian, not Russian, whatever the Russian nazi might claim) while hardly anyone heard about The Six Triple Eight and that's why this story needs to be told now.

Tyler Perry Made Many changes in this movie that its almost a made up story. Yes the event happened, and these women jolin to deliver mail to soliders, but much of the personal story written in here of Lena is fabricated. For example, her an Abram were just friends and not lovers, and she also was already working at the hopstial and poltically active. Tyler Perry isn't Spike Lee as much as he wants to be. IF anyone really wants to make a great BLACK history movie, make one on the 369th Infantry Regiment AKA Harlem Hell-Fighters Aka Men of Bronze. If you really want to director and show case a fantastic story that is one that needs to be done correctly.

I am not a fan of Tyler Perry's work. That said, this is undoubtedly a seminal work. Even though the editing could use some tightening, and at times it feels like a made for TV movie with the lighting choices, the story outshines all that. Charity Adams understood that morale was tantamount to fighting and winning against the Nazis. She knew this even when she faced racism from American white soldiers, and still made sure the morale of the soldiers who hated her were lifted with word from loved ones via mail. The REAL LIFE Charity Adams was a champion of morale. See this movie!

Strong, defiant Black women also won us Normandy, the Battle of the Bulge and, overall, the entire war. Denying this is literally racist, in and of itself.

I just finished this movie and it was great. To all you haters of us, we serve our country with honor and patriotism in spite of your hatred of us. We don't elect a 34 time convicted Felon, an insurrectionist, and service dodger as POTUS. This is the most dishonorable thing that one can do in our great nation. This is a mark of traitors that dishonor those that fight for democracy, justice and show loyalty in our great nation. May God love and embrace our fallen American soldiers. May Americans honor our Constitution for equality, and against insurrectionists, criminals, and traitors.

There have been about 700,000 feature length movies made globally since the birth of cinema in the late 1800s. Some are good some are bad. They have all been made for some form of entertainment, so get over yourself and enjoy the broad variety available. And remember, no-one is forcing you to watch any of them!
