Felt more like a drama than a thriller. If you are a fan of drama, this is a good watch. If you are looking for a thriller, this is not it
@ repax. Why not drink a bottle of milk and eat a few ghost chillies to really push the envelope to its logical conclusion?
the print quality was great, sound 5.1 ch; premise was really interesting and the cast was good, the movie was predictable but it wasn't really a thriller. I did increase the thrill by eating cheese sandwich while being lactose intolerant
It was decent, better than I expected. Did a good job at times portraying the panic of not being able to hear. The deaf actress had her moments---and she's got a nice rack.
This is a refreshing concept. I was surprised at how I wanted to see how things played out due to the promising 1st act. The movie suffers from some choices that slowed the pace to a crawl, but overall, it's definitely a decent watch. A standard action movie with familiar and not so familiar elements. Enjoy it!
@Unterhaltung: There's no contradiction. You can be disabled and "act" at the same time. But being disabled in real life automatically makes you more suitable for the role as you can just focus on the actual performance and not the disability angle. And think about that. Disabled roles are the only roles available to disabled actors, while able-bodied stars can play anything they want. So if you give such roles to an able-bodied actor, you steal it from a disabled one and they are left without any job at all. That's why it's important for those roles, which don't come up so often, to be given to actually disabled actors. P.S. Sandra Mae Frank was fantastic in the film and no able-bodied actor could have played that role with such a high level of authenticity.
I can't stop laughing at how many people are scared of anyone who's not a straight white christian man. It's pathetic and sad.
