This is a very underrated Vietnam movie starring R Lee Ermey who plays the role of Marine NCO really well. He should, he was a Marine NCO in Vietnam. It also portrays the Viet Cong leader as a highly competent military officer, not the typical cartoonish character. R Lee also narrates, and the movie was written by an Australian Special Forces NCO who did multiple tours thus explaining the authenticity.

Lot of cliches and bad dialogue. The effects are just the better side of a b movie. 80’s action mucho marines. It was fine I guess action got repetitive and boring.
