Plot summary

If you want to wonder, why am I

If you want to wonder, why am I watching this movie then this one is for you. Somehow it is boring while at the same time gross and ridiculous. The plot line plateau’s early on and it just recycles the same unbelievable slop. The abrupt ending should have happened right at the bathtub scene.

After a series of miscarriages, a couple decides to adopt a mute girl with a traumatic past. As soon as the problematic child joins the new family, the couple's home is immersed in an inexplicable darkness. Unexpectedly, the foster mother announces a pregnancy that shows symptoms of a supernatural possession. "The Other" is a body horror movie that tackles the horrors of parenthood and the drama of not being able to conceive. The movie proves that weirdness does not always work well in horror, especially when the plot is ridiculously absurd. Plus, the gory scenes feel gratuitous and exaggerated.
