Thank you for this movie in 4K!

@JiveSamba polanski plead guilt to unlawful intercourse with a minor - who he had drugged and sucked her clit - you cant silence the truth

Strange... no comments about the relationship to the Epstein PizzaGate Cult or Eyes Wide Shut - Polanski buggers children he drugs on sedatives... no doubt, one of Epsteins loyal customers and island tourists. Good film though, The Ninth Gate.

Siiiiii

4K YES!! Thank you! Been watching this movie since I was a kid, love it.

One of my favourite movies on esoteric knowledge, realy goes deep into the lore if you know your stuff. Depp is excellent as the clumsy magician stumbling trough one gate after another seemingly on accident, yet thoroughly guided and led. Abandoning conditioned moral with each step towards the unison of the paradox. Big on atmosphere and symbology. Too bad the old DVD looks better than the overly DNR'ed Blu Ray.

Flawed but I just love the overall atmosphere of the film

Glad that im not the only one who could see this over and over. I was obsessed over it for a while.

One of my favorite movies don't remember how many times I've watched it. I think I'll rewatch it again.

A favourite since it came out. Can't tell how many times I watched it.

Fantastic movie. One of those you end up watching over and over. Polanski and Depp at their finest.

I can't believe Sleepy Hollow and this came out in the same year. How can Depp be so charismatic and charming in Sleepy Hollow and so wooden in this? I guess directors really influence their actors. Even Polanski was unsatisfied with Depp's performance in the movie.

A slow-burn detective story about a rare occult book. This film has always stuck with me and I've revisited it several times over the years. Good acting, pacing, and direction. If you like mysteries with a hint of the supernatural, check it out.

If this movie was remade or reintroduced today, that would be something really special! Still, a very intriguing story.

Awesome movie. I remember watching it longtime ago. Love JDepp!

bibarnes74 that was stupid

I know I am in the minority but this is the dumbest movie I have ever seen. Technically incorrect in all ways imaginably. Rare books are ALWAYS handled with cotton gloves, you would never smoke near them or drink wine over one. The acting was forced and the main seductress tried, not well, to copy Dorothy Lamour. It didn't thrill me at all. It is certainly a piece but not art. But then what could you expect from Roman Polanski? Not worth the time to download. One IMDB reviewer says Corso is from th elatin cursus meaning course. Yet Corso himself says it i Italian for run. Makes sense since Corre in run in Spanish. In March 1977, film director Roman Polanski was arrested and charged in Los Angeles with five offenses against Samantha Geimer, a 13-year-old girl – rape. A protege of Weisenthal.

Love this movie I watch this 2 or 3 times a year. I even read the book The Club Dumas and was surprised to find that a mere side story in the book inspired this movie. My favorite Polanski film by far.

This movie is very good.

Very interesting film. It has the vibe of the "Da Vinci" code, only with a more supernatural connotations.
