Plot summary
The Man In The Hat sets off from Marseilles in a small Fiat 500. On the seat beside him is a framed photograph of an unknown woman. Behind him is a 2CV into which is squeezed Five Bald Men. Why are they chasing him? And how can he shake them off? As he travels North through France, he encounters razeteurs, women with stories to tell, bullfights, plenty of delicious food, a damp man, mechanics, nuns, a convention of Chrystallographers and much more, coming face to face with the vivid eccentricities of an old country.

This is as close to a perfect film as you can get, 10/10. I am a passionate cinephile and I watch a lot of movies, when I mean a lot I mean I don't have a life a lot. When you watch that many movies you trudge through lots of near misses, horrible attempts and I can't get that 120 minutes back kind of movies. But this is the kind of movie we live for, the diamond in the rough, the undiscovered gem. This pearl of a movie checks all the boxes, it's funny, sad, charming, witty, clever, original, cinematography is breathtaking, the story is enchanting, the cast perfect. If you love cinema as I do, this is like finding a lost Vermeer or Picasso. Did I mention I f@#$king love this movie!?!
Great film! Thanks, BTW it's in French and (embedded) subtitles in English.
Thanks FREEMAN - appreciated...
