x265 provides superior quality at the same file size, OR comparable quality at a lower file size. I suspect the x265 here is significantly better quality for a small gain in size.

X265 provides the same quality as X264 but for a smaller file size. They really screwed up on this one, maybe it's backwards.

Boring AF

The first hour is super boring. The poster doesn't match the look of the movie. I was expecting something more mysterious in the likes of Jeepers Creepers and not that bright high school nonsense. Characters are as flat as can be and the whole thing is also really predictable. Not my cup of tea.

Modern day Scream. Scary but funny, too! Got some Jeepers Creepers vibes from one scene & Scary Movie vibes from another one. Anyways, it's okay & who knows, we could expect a sequel from it... ;)

The goofiest movie of the year. Between the fake Massachusetts accents and that chipmunk dude who played the store owner I barely got through it.

Watchable but very disappointing compared to the fake trailer it was adapted from.

@bloodyjim Just the fact, this movie is actually inspired by Gen X Killers movies, especially Halloween (1978), Prom Night (1980), My Bloody Valentine(1981), Happy Birthday to Me(1981), The Prowler (1981) and Cutting Class(1989).

watch for 20 min. Looks like some low budget tv movie with sh*tty acting.

encoding is just a technology format. generally more details = bigger size. in x265 vs x264 case, x265 can go smaller at the same details as x264. so if you get bigger size, means it (should) be better bitrate quality. When you encode, you choose the quality, hence the size. YTS doesn't promise you he will do the same quality as non-x265 formats.

@cmftblynu x265 is also supposed to look much better than x264, and most of the files here are pretty lossy. I'm guessing OTTO and FREEMAN could use a handbrake tutorial, but I'd just try to do my best to be happy with what we've got. This is just about the best site of its type from what I can tell, for better or for worse, and I am thankful for it.

I am confused how the x265 encodes are now bigger than the 264? I was downloading x265 because it resulted in a smaller file size now they are typically larger?!?
