One of the top ten movies I have

one of the top ten movies I have ever seen in 76 years. the acting is superb, there are so many scenes that have impact...even decades after they are first seen. I can't believe its poor reviews! give it a chance. be prepared to see an extremely unique and troubling film, in that there are so many odd things that are presented to us. an Australian lawyer is trapped in a web of intrigue and mystical horror when he is asked by the state to defend an Aboriginal for the death of another. as the movie goes on, he realizes he has been sucked into a "dream time" nightmare he never awakens from.

I am sure there is a case to

I am sure there is a case to be made this movie is effective. Culturally I am sure there is so much you have to know to make the movie make sense. The big reveal of I guess is something but it seemed to just wedged in as a plot device. Maybe it was obvious to the film maker in his head, but sorry the symbolism was tiresome, the plot not really held together by what was put on screen, and it was a slog. Atmospheric absolutely, but that only gets you so far. This one was not for me.
