What a stylish movie, but then again, most film-noir are stylish. I can understand why the phrase "Bogie & Bacall" was such athing for the boomers. Humphrey Boggart proves why he will forever be the definitive Marlowe on the bigscreen, and even with the 'Hays Code' in motion, the film oozes moral relativism and cool. Man, I just love the dialogue delivery in old movies.
