Plot summary
Sentenced to spend out the rest of his adult life laboring in the harsh deserts of Egypt, the Thracian slave Spartacus gets a new lease on life when he is purchased by the obese owner of a Roman gladiator school. Moved by the defiance of an Ethiopian warrior, Draba, Spartacus leads a slave uprising which threatens Rome's status quo. As Spartacus gains sympathy within the Roman Senate, he also makes a powerful enemy in form of Marcus Lucinius Crassus, who makes it a matter of personal honor to crush the rebellion.

I Hope is the last of this kind, meaning incomplete stuff...!!!
It looks like Ridley Scott's Gladiator; but i's not. Haven't seen it, already confused...
It's a decent movie. FYI your preview is of the wrong movie and your cast list is referring to the series not the movie.
Not a bad mini-series (hopefully it's all included in the torrent - doubtful but here's hoping anyway) in it's own right but it pales in comparison to the 1960 original movie starring Kirk Douglas, Laurence Olivier and Tony Curtis.

Felt like reading the book after watching this movie. Not bad at all when compared to the 60s version.
