Plot summary

A mural painted with blood is found on the wall of Pasila train station, which depicts Finland's best-known serial killer Lasse Maasalo. The text in the mural, “Making the world a better place”, is linked to a voting circulating in social media, where people can vote for persons that world would be a better place without. Soon the first body is found and Sorjonen must find the person who has named himself as The Judge.

This is a competent neo-noir thriller with excellent

This is a competent neo-noir thriller with excellent characterizations and a sober execution. Along the way we come to meet a larger-than-life, somehow unrealistic Nietzschean character who kills people only to "make the world a better place." Unfortunately, near the end, as the plot intensifies and we expect a full explanation, many points remain obscure or unanswered. You have to double your attention and may still need an external help to get the full picture.

Bordertown: Ein besserer Ort ist ein Mystery-Drama-Krimi von Juuso Syrjä… Als das Gesicht des inhaftierten Serienmörders Lasse Maasalo und der Text "Let's make the world a better place" mit Blut auf eine Unterführung gemalt werden… Ich habe die Serie noch nie gesehen, so bezieht sich meine Rezension nur auf den Film… Ein Krimi mit einem langsamen Rhythmus, mich überrascht aber seine hohe Qualität… er setzt voll auf seine nahen perfekten Charaktere, die fesselnd sind… mir scheint die Handlung aber an manchen Stellen ein wenig unlogisch…

I really thought the acting and the trope

I really thought the acting and the trope of who done it was done well. I liked the leading actor. The dubbing was done really well; i.e.,the English sounded and looked like it was coming through the actor's lips, The lead detective had a mental disorder, but he was also intelligent, had psychic abilities, and he wasn't fearful. It wasetter than most garbage movies out there.
