Plot summary

To stop an arms dealer from unleashing a deadly superweapon, Ace sniper Brandon Beckett and Agent Zero are deployed to Costa Verde to lead a group of elite soldiers against an unrelenting militia. Taking an untested sniper under his wing, Beckett faces his newest challenge: giving orders instead of receiving them. With both time and ammo running low in a race to save humanity, the team must overcome all odds just to survive.

Sniper: The Last Stand" starts off well enough

"Sniper: The Last Stand" starts off well enough but then seems to forget what its mission is. This film starts off sensibly with a decent amount of B grade entertaining military action antics but then slows things right down, becoming a cheesy military soap opera. Exaggerated story telling and corny grand standing, abound. Thankfully, this film picks up somewhat in the latter half but by then, you might well have stopped watching. I almost did. In summary, a military action flick on a limited budget really needs to stick to its guns. "Sniper: The Last Stand" (why are these kind of films always called "the Last Stand?) should have leaned more heavily into the action aspect of the film and dropped the military soap opera, nonsense. A basic watch, at best.

boring parts and some fun action cheese

Sniper Brandon Beckett (Chad Michael Collins) and Agent Zero (Ryan Robbins) are part of a group of elite international soldiers sent to Costa Verde to stop an arms dealer with a superweapon. This opens with a fine action section with the group attacking the final boss. The villain activates his superweapon which throws everyone back. Then the movie goes 48 hours earlier and the audience has to wait. It is a lot of introductions and preparations and training. Very little of it is compelling. The movie loses any pace it had earlier. I do like the Canadian axe fighters for all the old fashion action cheese. The middle is so boring that I would suggest the fast forward button.
