Are all Red Army killed in film Russians or they were Ukrainians, Georgians, Belarus, Armenians? Asking for a friend
Fun movie with a lot of "Rambo" moments. Great action, good actors. I had to laugh when the Soviet commander uses a BC-611 hf radio ( US military) without pulling up the antenna, since that action is what actually turns the radio on. But explosives hurling a T17 (?) tank over the border more than made up for any technical faux paus.
erryR300956@ Which old Russia clown? There is only Russian Empire Finland was part of as a Duchy of FInland (and they still cherish those times since they have monument of Alexander II in Helsinki), Then was USSR, and now is Russian Federation. So only time Finland was in war was with USSR during WW2 when USSR was ruled by Georgian man, and USSR had 150 different nationalities, so statistically 2 out of 3 soldiers of Red Army were not Russians. USSR like Yugoslavia was multiethnic country, get that into your stupid heads.
Since this is Finish film is from 2025 so I would expect more anti russian propaganda. Finland was a neutral country after WW2 and had good relations with USSR and west. They even used Soviet made weapons during that period and benefited from trade with USSR. But Nazi loving idiots destroyed all that when FInland joined NATO. THey had a significant economic setback without trade with Russia and Russian tourists. If Finns are so sour why they have monument of Russian emperor Alexander II in Helsinki? It looks like Finns were happy as a Duchy under Russian Empire when they cherish Alexander II? Maybe they are sour because they lost 10% of their territory Karelia to USSR in Winter War? Who will know, Losers have right to be angry, as we say in Balkans
Finns cant live without Soviets or Russians.... on the poster is PPŠ-41 (rus. ????????-??????? ???????; Pistoljet-Puljemjot Špagina)
@petarezgeta A bit incorrect there, old mate. Germany and Russia had a non-aggression Pact, until the first invaded the latter, whereupon Finland had an agreement with Germany, allowing German troops to enter through Finland, in June 1941, to continue fighting Russia, an agreement that ended in Sept. 1944, when they then sided with the Allies. The Russians did not "side with the Nazis in WWII", as you say. They mistrusted and hated each other. Anyhoo, the Blu-ray Hybrid is again darker and greyer than the web rip.
Lol. Debating any war with a brainwashed yank is like taking to a blind man about the color of the sky.
These days, when the first part of a movie is really good, it's very difficult to find a sequel that surpasses it, but this is the exception. What a great, great movie this second part is!
The Russians sided with the Nazis in WW2 !! The allies or "good guys" were led by Finland, America, UK etc. Keep that in mind while watching this. (Google it if you don't think it's true)
A lot of propaganda in the comments section. If you put up a propagandistic loaded movie, there are going to be political comments, that's just the way it is. Hatred runs deep, so we may as well get started with the mushroom clouds. From everything I've seen over the last 80 years, there is no other way.
This was OK as a brain out mindless entertainment suspend belief eminently forgettable popcorn movie, but that's about it. I don't know why Stephen Lang bothered........
