Plot summary

Chloe attends church and is immediately drawn to the pastor, Caleb. She falls in love with him, only to discover that he is married to two other women. When one of the wives mysteriously disappears, Chloe fears that she may be next.

Lifetime is known for horrible acting, ridiculous plotlines, and bizarre crime stories - basically Hallmark, but make it criminal. Sure, I guess some of this stuff could happen. But this movie? Absolutely not.I couldn't even finish it. I skipped to the end shortly after the wife goes missing - who, by the way, was the only good character in the entire movie. Margo was the only lovable, likable one, even though she was a complete airhead.Like... did you really think staying there with your daughter was just going to magically work itself out? If you didn't want your child raised in that environment, you had plenty of opportunities to leave - and not in the middle of the night, which is the most suspicious way possible. You could've left during a church service, during the day, literally any other time. But no. Middle of the night it is. Congratulations.Now let's talk about the black chick. From the second she walked into the church, it was painful to watch - looking 30 and thirsty. She starts out creeped out by the sister-wife situation (which is the only normal reaction), and then suddenly she's totally fine with it. Like... are you that dumb?This is where natural selection comes in. There's a thing called natural selection, okay? If you willingly put yourself into a situation this stupid, knowing full well how bizarre and unsafe it is, then yeah - actions have consequences.The choices being made were so unbelievably dumb that it stopped being entertaining and just became infuriating. I didn't even finish the movie because I was so annoyed. And it wasn't the acting - sometimes bad acting is part of the Lifetime experience. This was worse. The character decisions were maddening.Don't waste your time. You're either going to skip to the end or turn it off completely. Either way, save yourself the headache.This wasn't just bad - it was aggressively annoying.

Don't bother.

Look, I freely admit that these Lifetime ripped-from-the-headlines made-for-TV movies are my guilty filmic pleasure. Despite oftentimes having bad acting, a bad script and a corny plot, they are actually strangely compelling...but even I have standards.And "Sister Wife Murder" is way below those standards.It was dreck and not even an entertaining or compelling kind of dreck. Ashley Williams (of Hallmark fame) leads a cast of nobodies in a story about a polygamous priest. (Lifetime loves a good 'priest behaving badly movie, don't they).There are vastly better Lifetime movies out there. Trust me, I've seen a fair few of them,
