Plot summary

Monica is looking for a fresh start as she tries to land a gig as the host of an afternoon talk show. Then she hires Simone to be her personal assistant, and the pair become close friends. But underneath her sweet exterior, Simone harbors a dark secret, and plans to take over Monica's life for good.

I found it comical. I'm shocked they made two sequels after this one.

Cool, modern, inclusive version of the original. Movie

Cool, modern, inclusive version of the original. Movie buff or not, we all know this storyline is as old as the Bible, with many more versions to come... With that said, it is a fresh take on a classic storyline that I, as an African American millennial woman, am able to relate to on a more personal level. The script is OK, with a little comedy thrown in here and there. The cast has a few faces we know and see on current tv, as well as a few faces we've seen in the past. Awesome option for a girls night in.

I can't think of a more poorly conceived

I can't think of a more poorly conceived movie. It is so inept and so terrible that it is almost worth seeing! A female producer for a tv show hires a new assistant. The new assistant is on the ball, but she really will do anything to get ahead, and moves to take over the producers life. The dialogue is terrible, the acting riotous. That makes it fun to make fun of. See it only for the experience of laughing at a funny film that doesn't realize it is funny.
