Subpar sequel that while continues Meiko Kaji's epic lead performance, doesn't contain the style and nuance of the original. Kaji gives another great performance as Lady Snowblood, this time listless as her quest for revenge was completed in the first movie, thus she doesn't really have a reason to live until given a new mission. Unfortunately, the director Toshiya Fujita doesn't really do much with the concept of Snowblood trying to find a new place for his skills, with the revolutionary storyline never quite jelling. Not a bad film but only watch when paired with the original.

Decent follow-up. It's not as dynamic or have the visual flair of the original, but there's still some cool action. The plot doesn't seem to serve the character well though, as she seems out of place and it seems like an implausible turn for her to make the decisions she does. It's cool to see her further adventures.
