@systemctl If you were hired as a firearms expert for a movie, what possible justification could you provide for having live ammo on the set? The armorer was the only one at fault for that accident.
@:Hatmandu: Even tho he was a producer, he didn't hire the armorer. Sure, you can argue that she shouldn't gotten hired because of earlier complaints, but still. It's her job, just like every other cog in a production have a job were they always cut corners and push time. I agree that weapons is not directly comparable to a light, sound or make-up job, but all in all, it comes down to being just a cog with an expertise that everybody must trust. At least as long as there's no (correct me if i'm wrong) extra demands on actors handling prop-guns in movies, like having a license.
@MyKing: Baldwin is an actor who's been handling prop-guns in movies for decades. It's neither his job or responsibility to make sure that a prop-gun doesn't kill anybody. That's why they have a person on set who specialises in guns and gun safety. Who hand over a gun that should be meticulously checked and safe to use. That's where all the blame falls, of course, and it's mind-blowing that she brought live ammo to the set (which is forbidden) and handed over a loaded weapon. It's mind-blowing that they even use guns that can fire bullets.
the armourer was to blame and was jailed so Alec Baldwin is cleared and not a murderer for those with the brain the size of a peanut.
To the morons blaming the actor for the accident instead of the person responsible for setting up the props....you're all really lame in the brain.
As much as I dislike this Baldwin, even though he knows jack$h1t about guns and gun's safety, he did not load the gun with live bullets, the film's armorer did for whatever reason and she is in prison (though I'd give her a longer sentence). As for the movie... it sucks, not terrible but sucks.

If there's an incompetent electrician on set, and during a scene Baldwin flips a switch and someone is electrocuted, whose fault is it? Exactly. The only ones blaming Baldwin are the far right, for political reasons.
