Just to make sure nobody forgets that the invaders originally were Chinese, but Hollywood changed it to North Korea so they could continue publishing movies in China. The Chinese government censores not only China, but globally.

The movie is entertaining, but it is a turd. The leads brother is completely unlikable, breaks team and gets his own killed without penalty, and to think Americans would get off their asses for anything makes this movie border on fantasy. The first one with Patrick Swayze had a lot more "feel" to it. Both were entertaining, but again, unless the invading army are manned by the keystone cops, this is fantasy.

Red Dawn (1984) is a classic. The remake in 2012 did the movie justice, some. There is an Australian version, Tomorrow When the War Began (2012), is pretty good and I recommend watching it, just not as "violent" but the theme is still the same.

UNKnown. Check out the original and you'll get it. I've bever seen a remake that surpasses the original, which is probably bcos good film-making depends on originality and the creative need to express that unique insight. Plaigarism is the antithesis of creative innovation. And this is piss poor even by those low standards.

See, there's the problem...you never saw the Good Version" of this movie. The combination of Patric Swayze, Jennifer Gray, Emilio Estevez and Michael Ironsides to name a few, make the original an untouchable classic. Also, the times and location made the original Red Dawn invasion, almost plausible. Who the hell would want to invade Spokane Washington? Not even the North Koreans are that dumb.

Do not listen to these so called "critics" their full of shit! When i first saw this movie it was on tv and it was almost over and somthing about it just amazed me so much. Have never seen the original looked at the trailer it looked old and boring thats all i´m going to say about it. Great movie Good action definetly download it
