excellent movie

For those who want to have a glimpse of real Black culture, the deep interpersonal connections between Black men and Black women within a predominantly Black community, while also seeing how education and parenting evolves the people that are equipped with both, then this film is exactly what you want to see. Although a good portion of Black society is steeped in all the clichés that African American films are mostly expected to portray ie; drugs guns murder gangsta music in all its varied black forms etc, here is a portrait so to speak of what the real Black Americans strive for- Beauty and Peace and Love and Self Expression thru Art and Knowledge obtained by Blacks thru Black means. And oh yeah theres a reality based love story captured within the frames of this film where if you've ever loved someone AND loved yourself as well you will get the nuances of emotions that run it's course as you watch it all unfold. I personally related to this film from the love perspective as well as appreciating what the director was conveying in the messages sent about the TRUE Black African American experiences now in 2021 and beyond. Watch this film. Get a taste of the real for a change.
